Kailash Vijayvargiya is an unstoppable warrior in Indian politics and a skilled manipulator of public sentiment. After coming to his senses, he entered the public service after spending his early years in Indore's impoverished labor sector. He discovered early in his political career that the only thing that can make aspirations come true is the strength of one's resolve. Encapsulated in the principles and values of national policy, Kailashji harbored deep aspirations to serve his country. His public ambitions were enormous when he entered politics, and he had a wide range of dreams. He had the power to create a sense of pride and commitment in the population. Kailashji was able to harness the enormous energy of democracy via his hard work and dedication, and the public started to believe in his leadership abilities. After graduating from Sangh's school, Kailash Vijyavargiya adopted Hindutva and became closer to saffron politics. In 1975, he began his political career in the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. The BJP high leadership granted him the assembly ticket from Indore-4 in 1990 after expressing confidence in him. The BJP won this seat because Kailashji lived up to the high standards set by the top leadership.
Following this, he won from Indore-2 in 1993, 1998, and 2003 to get to the assembly. He was chosen as the Indore Municipal Corporation's first elected mayor in 2000.
He won from Mhow in the 2008 and 2013 assembly elections. In 2023, he was once again fielded in the battle of the state and he won from Indore Assembly Constituency 1 by defeating the opposition candidate by a huge margin.

- In 1985, he became the Chairman of the Standing Committee and State Minister of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. He was the organization minister of Bharatiya Janata Party Indore and state coordinator of Vidyarthi Morcha.
- In 1992, he became the state vice president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, national minister and national vice president of BJYM, and in charge of Yuva Morcha of Gujarat.
- Vice President and President of All India Mayors Association in 2000.
- Traveled to China and America in 2001 and to Johannesburg in 2002.
- In 2002, he was nominated as the national coordinator of the Local Administration Front of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
- In 2003, he became the convenor of the South Asia Mayor's Council and state spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Apart from this, Kailashji was the founder of Nandanagar Nayuvak Ramayan Mandal, president of Ramayan Mandal organizations, and was associated with many social and cultural organizations of Indore and was also the patron of Lucky Wanderers Sports Care.
- While being a member of the Ninth Legislative Assembly in 1990 and the Tenth Legislative Assembly in 1993, he was a member of the Public Undertaking Committee and Public Accounts Committee.

In 1990, he stood from constituency number 4 in the Ninth Legislative Assembly elections and defeated Congress candidate Iqbal Khan by 25 thousand 602 votes. Kailash Vijayvargiya got 48 thousand 413 votes, and Iqbal Khan got 22 thousand 811 votes.
In 1993, he stood from constituency number 2 in the tenth assembly elections and defeated Congress candidate Kripashankar Shukla by 21 thousand 62 votes. Kailash Vijayvargiya got 59 thousand 346 votes, and Kripashankar Shukla got 38 thousand 284 votes.
In 1998, he stood from Indore constituency number 2 in the eleventh assembly and defeated Congress candidate Rekha Gandhi by 20 thousand 273 votes. Kailash Vijayvargiya got 64 thousand 409 votes, and Rekha Gandhi got 44 thousand 136 votes.
In 2003, he stood from Indore constituency number 2 in the twelfth assembly and defeated Congress candidate Ajay Rathore by 35 thousand 911 votes. Kailash Vijayvargiya got 86 thousand 175 votes, and Ajay Rathore got 50 thousand 264 votes.
In 2008, he stood from Mhow in the Thirteenth Legislative Assembly and defeated Congress candidate Antar Singh Darbar by 9 thousand 791 votes. Kailash Vijayvargiya got 67 thousand 192 votes, and Antar Singh Darbar got 57 thousand 401 votes.
In 2013, he stood from Mhow in the fourteenth assembly and defeated Congress candidate Antar Singh Darbar by 12 thousand 216 votes. Kailash Vijayvargiya got 89 thousand 848 votes, and Antar Singh Darbar got 77 thousand 732 votes.
In 2023, he ran from constituency number 1 in the sixteenth assembly and defeated Congress candidate Sanjay Shukla by 57 thousand 939 votes. Kailash Vijayvargiya got 1 lakh 58 thousand 123 votes, and Sanjay Shukla got 1 lakh 184 votes.
